Broker of the Year 2025 - these are the winners of the Broker of the Year 2025!
The Broker of the Year 2025 was a special anniversary: for the 25th time since 2001, traders, investors and investors were able to vote for their broker of the year. From 1 to 31 March 2025, over 87,000 participants cast their votes at www.brokerwahl.de.
There were numerous established providers and up-and-coming brokers to choose from in these six categories:
- Online Broker of the Year
- Daytrade Broker of the Year
- ETF & Fund Broker of the Year
- CFD Broker of the Year
- Forex Broker of the Year
- Crypto Broker of the Year
Compared to the previous year, there were four new frontrunners - only in the ETF & Fund Broker of the Year category and in the CFD Broker of the Year category was the previous year's winner able to hold its own.
- As in previous years, there was a change in the top position in the main category of online brokers. flatex was able to beat last year's winner comdirect in second place and Consorsbank in third place.
- In the "ETF & Fund Broker" category, flatex won the title for the fourth time in a row.
- Although Consorsbank did not win the title this year, it did finish in the top 3 twice: third in the online broker category and third in the "ETF & fund broker" category.
- In the "Daytrade Broker of the Year 2025" category, the trend of previous years remains unchanged: ActivTrades won ahead of the winner from 2024, justTRADE, and ahead of CMC Markets.
- ActivTrades also won the title in the "Forex Broker of the Year 2025" category
- Only the Kulmbach-based broker flatex was more successful in 2025, taking first place in a total of 3 categories
- XTB was able to repeat its successes of 2023 and 2024 and once again secure the title of "CFD Broker of the Year"
Online broker of the year 2025
After the comdirect in 2024 the title of flatex this time, it was Kulmbacher that came out on top again, making them "Online Broker of the Year 2025". As in the previous year, 3rd place went to Consorsbank from Nuremberg. Fourth place went to Trade Republic, followed by Sparkassen Broker in 5th place. NeoBroker finanzen.net Zero, justTRADE and Smartbroker+ in sixth to eighth place. CMC Markets came ninth, ahead of IG in 10th place.
Looking back over the last few years, the "Online Broker of the Year" category is still primarily a duel between flatex and comdirect.
Day trading broker of the year 2025
Here could justTRADE was unable to repeat last year's victory, but only narrowly missed out to ActivTrades, which secured the title of Day Trading Broker of the Year for the first time! CMC Markets came third. In no other category were the top three so close together as in the day trading broker category! These three were followed by TriveTickmill and LYNX.
ETF & fund broker of the year 2025
As in the previous year, flatex also came first in the ETF & Fund Broker category - although this time Quickborn-based comdirect took second place ahead of Consorsbank in third place.
TradeRepublic follows in 4th place ahead of finanzen.net Zero and the Savings Banks Broker.
CFD broker of the year 2025
In the CFD Broker of the Year category XTB repeat last year's success. In 2nd place follows CMC Markets ahead of comdirect, which is among the top 3 in a total of three categories.
ActivTrades, IG and Pepperstone follow in the next places, WH SelfInvest and Libertex.
Forex broker of the year 2025
In the "Forex Broker of the Year" category ActivTrades After winning the title in 2023 and coming second in 2024, the company took it back from Pepperstone who came second this year. CMC Markets came third, improving significantly from 5th place. IG followed in 4th to 6th place, Tickmill and Trade.com.
Crypto broker of the year 2025
The title "Crypto Broker of the Year" was awarded for the fourth time in 2025 - this year, flatex took first place for the first time! Frankfurt-based neobroker justTRADE, the winner of the last three years, was only just behind in second place. TradeRepublic follows in third place ahead of finanzen.net Zero, IG and Tickmill.
ConclusionWith a total of 4 changes at the top in the categories Online Broker of the Year, Day Trading Broker of the Year, Forex Broker of the Year and Crypto Broker of the Year, the German brokerage market is still very much on the move!
