Broker of the Year 2022 decided - these are the winners of the Broker of the Year 2022 election

Broker choice 2022: the 22nd edition of the Broker of the Year poll, which took place from 01 March to 31 March 2022 at www.brokerwahl.de, has been decided. Almost 81,000 traders, investors and investors voted for their favourite broker during this period.

In the still highly competitive brokerage market, there were more changes at the top in 2022 than ever before in the 22-year history of the broker poll - especially in the top 3 rankings. Although there were already some changes at the top in 2021, this time there were new winners in 5 categories!

• flatex surprises and wins 3 titles, including the main category "Online Broker of the Year 2022"
• The serial winner of the past years, comdirect, falls behind Consorsbank to third place among online brokers
• Traders, investors and investors could vote for their favourite broker in a total of 6 categories
• almost 81,000 participants voted in 2022 - only slightly fewer participants than in the trading boom year 2021 (98,000 participants)
• JustTrade wins the newly created category "Crypto Broker of the Year 2022"
• Admirals is the only broker to repeat last year's success

 

Online Broker of the Year 2022

For the first time ever, flatex won the title and is now "Online Broker of the Year 2022" - certainly a small surprise after comdirect had dominated this category for years.

After all, comdirect was able to win the title in the main category "Online Broker of the Year" - more times in a row than any broker before. However, comdirect fell back to third place in 2022, as Consorsbank secured second place by a wafer-thin margin.

This is followed directly by two new brokers: Trade Republic and Scalable Capital.

Places 6 to 10 are then taken in placement order by onvista bank, Smartbroker, finanzen.net zero (formerly Gratisbroker), JustTrade and Degiro.

 

 

ETF & Fund Broker of the Year 2022

In the ETF & Funds Broker category, flatex also took first place. And here, too, the second winner is Consorsbank. Scalable Capital came in third, ahead of the almost equally placed broker Trade Republic.

Degiro, Justtrade, S Broker and Smartbroker follow a little way behind.

 

 

Futures Broker of the Year 2022

There was also a change at the top among the futures brokers. After WH SelfInvest had dominated this category for the last few years, this year the Berlin broker LYNX won first place for the first time in several years.

Last year's winner WH SelfInvest followed in second place and Degiro in third place, for which this is the only top 3 placement this year (after four top 3 placements in 2021).

 

 

 

Daytrade Broker of the Year 2022

In keeping with the motto "all good things come in threes", flatex also took the crown in the "Daytrade Broker of the Year" category, narrowly beating last year's winner JustTrade.

IG Europe follows in third place ahead of ActivTrades, Vitrade and etoro.

 

 

CFD & Forex Broker of the Year 2022

In the CFD & Forex Broker of the Year category, there was a real photo finish, which Admirals won in the end. ActivTrades followed in second place, ahead of IG Europe. Pepperstone, WH SelfInvest and nextmarkets followed in the next places.

In this category, this year's 3-time winner flatex had to settle for seventh place.

 

 

Crypto Broker of the Year 2022

As the title "Crypto Broker of the Year" was awarded for the first time this year, there were no comparative figures from the previous year. Nevertheless, not surprisingly, three brokers made it into the top 3 who had placed a particularly strong focus on cryptocurrency trading in the last 12 months.

And also not entirely surprising: all three are NeoBrokers! The title was won by JustTrade, ahead of Trade Republic in second place and Scalable Capital in third. In fourth place comes etoro.
